Disney's Holiday On Ice Manila 2011

3 plus 2 = 5 tickets!
Originally, pop and Igi were not part of our "Holiday on Ice escapade"  I had the first 3 tickets bought few weeks ago and had to buy additional two on the day itself.  Araneta Colliseum Upper Box A seats were already sold out and so the duo got seated on upper box B.  Still, the view from that rows of seats were A OK! ( only, I missed to have their photo taken while the show was on going)

Pop and the boys, waiting for the food to be served at Pancake House in Gateway Mall.  The mall is just adjacent to the colliseum.  We decided to have a quick snack before show time.

Disney's well loved characters received loud applause from the youngsters

The Little ones (Rojo & Juan), enjoying the most

Amazement showing on the kiddos faces

Spectacular!

The kiddos were super happy!

My Juan and Diarrhea

I rushed the little one to the hospital sometime November this year, after complaining of stomach pains and non stop visit to the loo.  Good thing we need not stay in the hospital longer than necessary.  Few days after, he was feverished and diarrhea seemed to have gotten worse.  Pedialyte was a big relief but it would take forever administering the solution to my little Juan as he super detested the taste...

My Juan, even when sick is so good looking!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

The cutest and handsomest
My favorite nephews in the whole wide world and my dearest sons

This is our Andi's first Christmas ever.  The annual photoshoot took place at Great Image.  It's quite a pricey photo studio but we are so liking the results.  Minus a scanner, I took a shot of one of the prints so excuse the white shining spot over there...

Merry Christmas to you from my family!

                                                        Contact Number: (+6343)7561214

Reasonably priced meals on the menu

Super fresh squid, grilled perfectly to the bite

The famous Batangas Maliputo, served "Sinigang with Kangkong and Mustasa", is simply the best tasting fish sinigang ever!

Super tender pork ribs?

This Family restaurant has been in existence for three long decades and is now being managed by the 3rd generation.  Good Food, Good Service, Reasonably Priced Menus definitely contributes to its longevity I must say.  I will definitely be back when I get the chance to be in Lipa again.

DIY Decorative Balls

I have seen many a version of these decorative balls on the net that I got inspired to have my very own.  So off I went to buy my glue gun, glue sticks and styroballs from National Bookstore, and Beans from the grocery.

Materials:
Glue Gun
Glue Sticks
Styro Balls
Red, White & Mongo Beans

I started attaching the beans one at a time in circular fashion from the center, working my way through the top & bottom of the ball.
Warning:  Melted Glue Stick can be very HOT!
I lost count of the number of times I got mild burns from the exercise.

A smaller styro ball for variety

Tadah! Aren't they gorgeous ?! I simply love the texture.
Now, all I need is a really nice bowl to display my work of art.

MB Arellano- Our House Contractor

I found this incidentally few months back.  It was a pleasant surprise, I only wished when these photos were posted, my house were already a little "full".  As you can see, the house looks really bare.. For more of the bare house photos, you may want to visit my contractor's website.

Dr. Gan  :  I will give you meds...
Me         :  No.
Dr. Gan  :  Yes
Me         :  Doc, can I just try to shed these extra pounds off first and see if I can do without any meds?

Dr. Gan  :  How?
Me         :  I can run.  I will run.
Dr. Gan  :  Where?
Me         :  BGC (Bonifacio Global City, that's where I work)
Dr. Gan  :  Meet me at Rox on monday.   Let me see for myself.  You have to reach your ideal weight of no more than 62kgs.  3x a week run, will make you lose 1-2 lbs weekly.  We'll check your numbers on Feb 2012.

One Day at Dapitan Arcade

Export overuns abound in Dapitan Arcade.  That little fellow in maroon short is my Juan.

Native handicrafts, from house decors to some knick knacks are sold much cheaper than in malls.

Sister, checking some of the Arcade's merchandise, got me some awesome vases.

Project Herbs Garden

A recent weekend trip to Tagaytay resulted to a new found interest- Herbs! Herbs are great addition to anyone's garden. Basil, I believe is a must, most specially to those who cooks pasta a lot. Initially, I got myself three varieties of basil (I did'nt know there are a lot of those!)sweet, thai and another one, which the vendor calls red basil. Each variety exudes distinct smell. I also got Eucalyptus mint herb which smells more like toothpaste. I plan to start my herb garden soonest. Next on my purchase list are: thyme, parsley, rosemary, celery & dill. In my recent research, I came across Manila Seedling Bank which is located somewhere in Quezon City. There, fruit bearing trees, flowery plants and of course herbs, are sold at cheaper price. Other than that, one can find herbs ready for growing in Laguna, Silang Cavite & Tagaytay.
